Privacy Policy for KinFin

Shivarth Softtech LLP ("we", "us", "our") operates the KinFin mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Information We Collect

KinFin is a local, offline-first expense tracker. We do not operate a backend server for this app, and we do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial data on any server.

All data you enter in the App — including:

• Transactions and records
• Accounts and balances
• Budgets and budget goals
• Categories
• Recurring transaction rules
• App preferences (theme, currency, etc.)

is stored only on your device, using local device storage. We have no access to this data, and it is never transmitted to us or any third party by the App.

Data Export & Backup

The App includes features to export your data (CSV) or create a local backup file. These files are created and stored on your own device (or wherever you choose to save them) and are entirely under your control. We do not receive a copy of these files.

Analytics & Crash Reporting

We use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage (such as screens viewed and general engagement) and to detect and diagnose crashes. This data is anonymous/device-based — it is not linked to your name, email, or any of the financial data you enter, since the App does not have user accounts. Firebase may collect device identifiers and usage data as described in Google's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any third-party advertising SDKs in this version of the App.

Data Deletion

Since all data is stored locally, you can delete your data at any time using the App's built-in "Delete/Reset" feature, or by uninstalling the App.

Children's Privacy

KinFin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including if a future version of the App (e.g. a connected "Pro" tier) introduces server-side data storage. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
